Sundays Are Brutal

I remember a time when I could plan a super relaxing Sunday. I might wake up early, drive to Krispy Kreme for fresh donuts or have breakfast or brunch with friends. I'd read the paper, maybe go shopping, take the dog for as long a walk as his little wiener legs could handle. It was nice. Now I wake up tired because the insomnia and toddler combo means I get about 4 hours of sleep per night. Sundays now consist of keeping a 3 yr old entertained, fed, tantrum free and his pant dry with constant reminders: Do you need to go potty? Do you need to go potty? It's nuts.

The Lord's Prayer ala Toddler

Mami: Repeat after me: Our Father
Toddler: Our Father
Mami:Who art in Heaven
Toddler: [ARE WE GOING TO DO ART IN HEAVEN?]
Mami: [No it just means God is in heaven] Who art in heaven
Toddler: Who art in heaven.
Mami: Hallowed be thy Name
Toddler: Hallowed be thy Name
Mami: Thy kingdom come
Toddler: Thy kingdom come
Mami: Thy will be done
Toddler: Thy will be done
Mami: On Earth
Toddler: [EARTH IS THE PLANET WE LIVE ON!!]
Mami: [Yes, I know] On Earth as it is in Heaven
Toddler: On Earth as it is in Heaven
Mami: Give us this day
Toddler: Give us this day
Mami: Our daily bread
Toddler: [SOMETIMES WE HAVE BREAD WITH BUTTER ON IT!]
Mami: [Yes, I know] Our daily bread
Toddler: Our daily bread
Mami: And forgive us our trespasses
Toddler: And forgive us our tressbizzes
Mami: As we forgive those who trespass against us
Toddler: As we forgive those who tressbiz against us
Mami: And lead us not into temptation
Toddler: And lead us not into temptation
Mami: But deliver us from evil
Toddler: [EVIL IS WHEN THE BAD GUYS COME, RIGHT?!]
Mami: [Yes that’s right] But deliver us from evil
Toddler: Deliver us from evil
AMEN

DAY 70

My 70th day living with family while searching for work. The process is amazingly monotonous and I wish I could say it has yielded results. Soon, I hope.
The Littleman is entering into his "Tumultuous Threes" just a few more weeks until his birthday. I can't believe it 3 years have passed so quickly.
On the crafting front, there is not much to report. I'm working on a baby blanket for my friend Jane's brand new littleone (Pattern: Moderne Baby Blanket in Cascade 220 and Shepherd 100% Classic) and I've just cast on for the Salute Hat which is my first KAL in a very long time. There's not much time for knitting these days, I get in 2 or 3 rows every few days and that's about it. As for spinning, that has been on hold indefinitely; I just can't carve out a regular time to sit and spin -- very sad.
I hope my next post will include happy job news. Happy crafting everyone!
